• Allow enough time to plan and organise the event
• Fix the date and time of the event well in advance
• Make sure your idea is legal, ethical and safe!
• If the event involves other people draw up a list of jobs to be done
• If you can, find a volunteer for each of the jobs
• Publicise the event

  • For major events contact local media

• Safeguard the money raised
  • Appoint some-one to take and count the money
  • Let your supporters know how much has been raised
  • You can either donate the money online or send a cheque.
